My uncle gave me a rebuilt 8.2 Detroit and transmission out of a truck he just bought. I was playing with the idea of holding onto it and putting it in my 95' 3500 duelly. This ever been done or can it be done?

I sold him a bus that had this in and he said he had to use the frame and shortened it up and put he body on the engine was to wide I thought he said for the 3500 chassis he is happy with it just wished it was a turbo model

 

Mines a Turbo model. Yay

 

just shorten the truck frame I think he actually just moved the spring mounts forward and then put on the 3500 chassis on the truck frame sits high looks like it has a 8" lift kit
