A little more detail please...? What kind of "industrial" motor? Are you curious if it will work or if it will be "road legal" according to the smog police? You'll definitely need to hit the aftermarket or pillage a few donor trucks for parts assuming that the "industrial engine" you speak of probably does not have a bellhousing/adapter plate for your or a comperable pickup transmission....among other bits and pieces to make an easy swap

We don't have smog police so I'm not worried about that I'm pretty sure it's out of a log skidder the I'd plate says 6bt 1987 I have a 93 dodge sittin around that has everything except the engines spoken for but I can have bellhousing and odds and end from it the main thing I'm worried about is an oil fill where I'm pretty sure the driver engine mount goes. I appreciate the help

I'm putting a 6bt out of a '94 school bus in my 1997. I got motor mounts from ford cummins and they cleared the oil fill tube that your talking about.

i guess its not really an oil fill tube on mine though. the oil on the '94 is filled through the timing but there is a line that the dip stick runs down to the pan that is close to the motor mounts. my mounts cleared it.

Your should be ok but industrial motors depending on the application are govened at 1500-1800 RPM so you are gonna want to change that so it can be governed at 3200 RPM.

Thanks guys Im trying to get a pic up of the oil fill I was talking about but it won't let me on my phone. Another question will the bellhousing for an automatic 24 valve work with the adapter to my zf 5 speed?
