Default help please

Not sure I'm in the right section but does anybody know what all I need to change my 95 Chevy 6.5 to a 6.2 injection pump? Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't but they have a section specifically for the 6.2/6.5 chevy's that you might try. My answer is I highly doubt it's even possible, especially if you have a 6.5 that has the electronic inj. pump. But I'm not an expert on the pre-Dmax Chevy's

I had someone tell me I could put the manual 6.2 pump on my 6.5 and that would do away with the stupid Pmd/fsd box. And that all I need to swap it is a manual throttle peddle?

Possible, but not easily.

Off the top of my head:

Pump
Lines
Brackets
Cables
Throttle pedal

That's the easy part. Hard part is the 4L80e. Its an electronically controlled transmission. It's integrated into the PCM. You need the app (fly by wire throttle pedal) to give signals for trans control.

You can buy a standalone controller for around 500 bucks.

If you have a standard transmission then no problem.

You'll also loose your cruise control unless you graft on a 92-93 unit.

Personally? I'd just leave the ds4 alone and change the pmd out when it fails with a quality unit from Heath diesel......

My truck is 5-speed. But if I'm going to lose cruise and there's that much involved I think ill wait and see if the Pmd box fixes it and then ill order a new one.
