Hi everyone! I was told I needed to start a thread on my truck... Its been quite a journey and one heck of a brain teaser. I began with an idea in trade school while me and a couple friends were bored and started googling conversions for a 1991 chevy 1/2 ton. My truck needed one of everything in the powertrain department... we stumbled upon one such conversion and a very well documented conversion at that. needless to say, 6 months or so later and I bought the wreck I was to use as my donor. Anyway, a couple years after the idea was born and I have finally been able to drive it.. It gets amazing fuel mileage and even with 3.42 gearing and 285 size tires it goes like hell... all on the stock 10 bolt so far... It's nowhere near done, as I am beginning to tear into it again to redo things I should have done right away but new there was a way to do it to get me to the point I could drive it for a tiny bit...
