Hey guys. I have asked a couple questions prior on a swap into my 97 f-350. I am having second thoughts on the year of truck I want to use. I am looking into buying a late 70's f-350 crew cab. What are your thoughts between the two years/body styles? Any pros and cons of either? A 70's era truck with a built cummins has a huge cool factor to me. Unless there are hidden things I don't know about these year trucks. Let the opinions flow.

The 97 you already own so its cheaper then buying another truck.On the 79 back trucks you gotta notch the engine crossmember or buy a custom one from autoworldmt.com
