will a 12v drop into a 00 Dodge 2500 gasser?
I want a 12v Cummins, but I don't want a massive conversion, if I picked up a 2000 - 2004 dodge Ram 2500 4x4 automatic gasser, would / could a 12v Cummins be dropped right in without adapters?
Obviously I would have to do exhaust, engine mounts etc...but would the bell housing, trans, torque converter work?
AC / PS and Alt would all work? or would I need all of that from the Cummins donor vehicle?

You would be better to buy a 24v (if you want that year range) and convert the motor to a P-Pump setup.
Myself, I would buy the 24v put an airdog and a fuel pressure gauge on it and run it. IF the VP pump gave me trouble down the road with a gauge and the airdog it shouldn't) I would then look at swapping for a P-Pump.
