im looking for suggestions on an engine to swap into a 90 isuzu trooper, something maybe like a kubota or case, something readily availible, light weight, with a manual injector pump, 4 cyl, ect. o if only 4bts didnt cost the same as 2 6bts....

Look at the 4cyl. kubota that comes on semi refridgerated trailers. There are tons of them out there,and they are turbo. V2203 is the model (I think)

 

i just jot back from the filippines and they had deisel tropers, i would look at imported motors a direct bolt in, maybee haha.

 

Engine and tranny from an Isuzu P'up would be the logical choice. Direct bolt in.

Yes the v2203 is N/A, I have one and about to see how it moves my Ranger.

 

Didn't remember for sure guy's on the turbo or non turbo,sorry. Anyway, Kubota has a turbo in the same size eng. Bobcat skid steer's used them. You might look at those.
