You gonna do a write up on modifying the injection pump? I assume the di and idi have the same pump. Just picked up my new di motor today

He has it explained (for me) in this thread at the begining, not much to it, just a stiffer gov spring and back out the rack limit screw. Be carefull on how much because I found that mine could dump more fuel than I could safely burn. Turbo size, gears, GVW, etc all have different effect, so a EGT guage is a good idea before you back out the rack stop too far.

Well, he did that to his IDI because it has smaller elements, but IMHO the DI puts out enough fuel to melt it down. So only the gov spring and rack travel adj are the only thing you need.

Cool. One more question, I haven't opened mine up yet to mess with the spring but what if you just wired it so it wouldn't move at all? Not sure if its possible since I haven't.seen the inside but from what I'm visualizing I would think wiring it would be more simple and you wont have to worry about the thickness of the.spring

You need the spring, you can't make the governor operate without a spring. It's pretty simple once you get in there, I ended up cutting a spring down to get the right tension.

It appears something is wrong with the page, I'm getting the black/tinted pages too. Not sure how to fix it, may have to find a site manager or moderator, how ever you do that.
