has anyone dones this conversion? my buddy wants to do it, i talked him out of buying a duramax and doing this

how big of a pain is it and where can we get the motor mounts and all that good stuff, what all needs fabricated, etc...

and also a rough price estimate

 

I knew some one had talked about this place they look top notch DESTROKED: Cummins Conversions they have some chevy stuff there

 

i tried calling them and haven't heard back, Ford Cummins said they'd do it for about 6k and so did Wide Open Performance

 

Hope you're planning on a solid axle conversion, I don't see the half ton cheby front end holding up.

 

oh i know, probably just going to buy a donor truck and steal everything off of it

 

im wanting to do the same but i can only afford to do the swap and then switch to a solid axle. the only thing ive seen on destroked was an adapter plate for the trans.
