Fummins A/C guys out there...
Well I'm to the point in my project where I need to do a/c got the 92 CTD in the 92 F350 and have no clue what to do for a/c. The compressor is way to close to the frame to do anything and I want to keep my ford a/c pump or similar style. I really dont want to do the dodge way and Ive heard you can do it like on the f800's where the mount is on top of the engine, but interferes with radiator hose. Any input appreciated.

I just got done working on my A/C . I notched the cross member and used the dodge commpressor in the stock location with modified mount. Personally, I wouldn't do it that way again. To much headache. I don't like the Ford mount way any better. I am trying to come up with a compressor that is more compact that will bolt up in stock location. Good Luck!!!

When I have my 1st Gen Cummins motor in my Fummins, I just notched the crossmember where the compressor was so it would clear. On the P-Pump motor I currently have, the A/C pump was mounted differently (being that it came out of a Medium Duty application CF8000 Ford cabover box truck) and it would have cleared the stock crossmember easiely as it is mounted higher and closer to the motor than the 1st Gen motor was configured. My suggestion would be to either bite the bullet and notch the crossmember to clear the pump, or seek out industrial application mounting brackets that rearrange the accessories to clear everything.

F350 Fummins have you atacked the AC yet??? Im just setting a 24valve up to put into an ozy f250 and we have a steering box in the way of the AC. I mounted mine off the lifting lug bolts on the R/H side of the cummins and put the alt over the other side where the throttle normaly is. Ill try and get a couple of photos up for you if you havent started yet.
