Duramax in a 350?
Ok So to start off my dream truck was a 99-03 body style f250-350 with a cummins Allison but the more I think I think I'd rather a Duramax with the Allison in that body style. Plus u keep the v8 sound Which I love and I love cummins but they have a ricey sound to me I think it's cuz he L6 sorry not talking crap just my opinion
So my questions are
1) Is there a kit for this I'm guessing not sense it's not done often?
2) What is the best duramax Allison combo year with the least problems and the most parts for it?
3) How hard would this be?
4) how much would y'all figure on full cost?
I know it wont be easy or cheap and I'm not planning on it soon but one day I'm still young just trying to get ideas and know what I'll be looking for in the feature!
Thanks in advanced

The idea of a Dmaxed Ford... sounds good... since you'll be upgrading and not downgrading that sucker...
best tranny/motor combo would be a 07 LLY 6speed
buuuuuuuuut..... if i were you.... a 12valve/NV4500 or NV5600 will make a lot more sense...
you will get a 700hp built 12valve for the price of a stock LLY and a New Venture 4500/5600 will hold up forever and is a whole lot cheaper than a allison

never say forever...
i'm sure there's plenty of us on here that can vouch for me that neither NV's are bulletproof and wont last forever... i'm not saying they wont either... but everything has a breakin point and yes they r damn tough..

I just like the more ease of getting more power then a powerstroke, the Allison and the v8 sound
a 12v cummins would be easier and cheaper but when if I do this I want the best mpg's and power oh and smoke control and 12v's don't have that

so either it will be a 5.9 CR or a 6.6 dmax with an Allison either way
Ya I saw that one but I thought about it before I saw that

You're going to be hard pressed to find advice or help doing that, its not a very common swap (I dont think Ive even heard of anyone doing one). So if you do, its probably going to be alot of custom work and head scratching.
Your best bet would probably be to talk to people that have swapped Dmax's into other rigs, Ive seen them in a bunch of other vehicles (Chevelles, C10's, Suburbans, etc.). They would probably be the most help, the electronics will be the hardest part about it.
