Default OM167 Sensor on Intake

I would like to no what this sensor is and what is it's purpose
I am not using it but are curios.

Did your donor car have a gauge to measure fuel economy on dash? Do you know what year it was from? I have had several engines without that sensor, but none of mine had the fuel economy gauge.

I am sure about the gauges dash was gone it is a 85 300D

That is part of the over-boost protect. It is a pressure switch that reads boost and completes the electrical circut to the valve that we are now using for the shutdown. I was thinking we could use it to energize a water/meth or propane system.

I think you can wire it in to the overboost along with the key switch if my understanding of the wiring is correct it is a n/c contact and when an overboost condition would happen it would open just as your switch would you would have to wire in a relay that would let it drop out when the key is switched off
