quick question for the swappers
I want to keep my stroker and buy a F350 or 1 ton chevy for a 12 valve swap, with a ford, would it be easier to swap the engine into a gas truck or idi diesel instead of powerstroke due to lack of electronics (throttle, PCM, etc.)?? I can get a gas truck cheaper too. I've always loved the 12v for its simplicity and potential and we already have two 7.3L fords.

I agree, even a blown powerstroke is worth replacing with another p/s, that's why I used a gas truck that was on it's last leg, especially when you need gasser truck parts to begin with

Yea I wouldnt have bought yet another powerstroke to transplant a cummins into, powerstrokes are great, I was just wondering if there was anything major I would've needed off of a diesel that a gas truck might not have, this is not something I plan on getting to anytime soon due to unemployment but I would love to build 1 ton ford or chev with a homebrew fed 12v.
