i rebuilt the engine over the wkd. now its time to start stuffing it into the cart

That's awesome. That looks just like a D600 Kubota I have. Mine is going on a 1650 Cub Cadet.

Love the cart project!

Superduty_5.9...I'm also looking at putting a three-banger Kubota in a old Cub mower.

Tight fit, i will have to widen the frame some. i had to fab a flywheel plate and clutch shaft. my old clutch compared to my new comet 1190. clutch installed on flywheel
