'02 24V and V10 47RH into my F350
Hello all, new to the site. Love it already!
So my situation, without the jersey shore abs that is, is this: I have a 1997 Ford F350 that Im gonna be puttin my '02 24V into. I already have the motor with the flex plate and tc (that came outta the '02 with the 47RE) still bolted to the 24V. I now have a 95 47RH from behind a V10 to put in behind the 24V. The tranny will bolt up bell housing wise according to all the research I've done thus far. But, will the 47RE tc work with the 47RH tranny? I would think so, but not 100%. I kept the RE tc because it was behind the 24V, thus has proper torque handling capacity, and proper stall speed. And though I know, being a born and bred Blue Oval Boy, that putting this Dodge tranny in my Ol Blue Eye is kinda sacreligious(sp?), I picked it up super cheap! Plus, I don't want the hassles of a manual for a daily driver in traffic. Also, I plan on leaving the cummins stock or only slightly modded, or should I say "BOMBed", since I'll be aiming for fuel economy. I've also came across info in my research scavenging that the V10 and Cummins used different imput shafts. But I've also found info stating they are the same.
Thanks everyone, for any help!
