put the engine in and got a problem
today I set my engine (92CTDIntercooled) in my 92 f350 frame and with the ford cummins mounts the a/c compressor hits the frame. I notched the frame and it misses by about a 1/4 inch, question is will I have any problems? Any of you ford cummins guys do this?
Also with the ve pump if I bypass the cummins fuel pump and put a holley on do I run the hot to the key and the pump runs all the time? Asking because ive read that a pump can keep running and pump fuel into the cylinders.

Not sure about the a/c comp issue, but I ran my factory fuel pump wire to an inline pump that's 12v key-on hot. You can bypass the fact. pump, just make sure you stay under 15psi. I can't imagine a fuel pump can open a fuel injector to get fuel in the cylinder, they need over 3000psi to open. Any excess fuel should go back to the tank
I made my own mounts and x member is very close to ac compressor, mine is not hooked up but I think I can get a line I there. Not sure on ford cummins mounts but I hear lots of guys have clearance issues and end up re locating ac. If you're going to run a electric intank pump you'll need a bypass regulator that returns to tank. I just drained my tanks and re used in tank pumps. There's an easy way to get the pumps working. Find the light blue wire with a orange stripe at the test port (a connector that is usually around the brake master cylinder or somewhere on the inner fender- well) Plug in a wire to this lb/orange wires socket in the test port. Connect this wire mentioned above to one pole on a Napa # 701-1603 pressure switch installed in the oil pressure port under the injection pump and behind the power steering pump on the Cummins engine. Connect another wire to the other pole on the switch and ground the other end of the wire. This will control the original fuel pump relay according to engine oil pressure. The fuel pump will only run when there is 2 psi or more of oil pressure. This will ensure the fuel pump will shut off in case of an emergency, as long as the engine quits running. My truck is a 92 also so same thing.
