There's a guy...on some forum....I honestly don't remember which one but he had a Detroit (I don't remember which one it was either.) in an OBS Ford. I have no idea what he had for a transmission.

Im a detroit lover and planning on doin the same swap sept with an 86 f350. Im a ferm believer that with a welder and tourch you can do anything. I have seen most people put 10 speeds in em. I think Im gonna put a 5 speed main with a 3 aux tranny, Just to be diffrent. twin turbo it. and big injectors. Im greedy.

This is one that was on ebay. Cant remember what age of Ford pickup it was in. There's another on youtube that has a plow. There's 2 for proof that you can do it!

The 6v53 is a tall motor and it fills the engine bay up nice in my f250 it took a 6'' lift and some cutting but it does fit. also i run a 4 speed with granny 1st think it is a spicer. i would never do it any differently, all i have to do now is get some stronger axles so they stop breaking i am looking into the new ford HD60 stuff
