Hey thanks for replying back..I did use the 727 to the 205 adapter from advance adapters. Take a gas jeep 727 tail shaft and housing and put it onto the diesel 727. The whole setup is 5 inches shorter than the C6. So because of that my T case is in the factory location and I didnt have to touch my driveshafts. Also how is your truck with those rubber mounts? They look like radius arm bushings to me. I went with the stock dodge rubber mounts between the frame and the engine block mounts and because of that the engine vibrates the whole truck at idle. Is yours smooth with those mounts?I will put up a thread on my conversion as soon as I finish everything 100%..Thanks Mike

I tried out some 38" Super Swampers, and they looked awesome, but going down the road was brutal when it was cold outside. The bias ply tires get flat spots on them apparently, and caused the truck to shake really bad. Since this is my daily driver, I decided to sell them off and buy some new General Grabbers for it. I do have plans for larger tires, but they'll be radials.

I bought a blue Cummins Vinyl and a white Bronco vinyl and stuck them on the window, I like the look.

Wow, that sounds great, especially at 5" shorter overall length. The best part about that, is the fact that the driveshaft is longer. With 6" lift, and short shaft, the angle is steep enough to cause problems. I twisted off a few driveshafts, and finally had Tom Woods build me one with 1350 joints and d-cardan, along with a billet yoke for the 9". That one has held up nicely. My truck is pretty smooth with the motor mounts. My older brother borrowed it the other day for the first time, and was surprised at how well it handles on the road, and the ride quality. I love driving the truck, there's no downside to it.

I put in all 4 ball joints, and while I had it apart, I swapped in a trac loc unit I found on ebay. I had to replace the clutches in the unit beforehand.

I grabbed the front hooks off an F800 parts truck, cut off the 3rd mounting hole on each one, and bolted them to the front of my Bronco. I used 3/8" steel backing plates so I think they'll be strong enough.

I didn't bother with the kickdown. With twice the torque of a stock 351M gasser, there's definitely no need for downshifting in a truck this light!

With the stock 727 I didnt have to worry about getting the vacuum regulated for the C6. That and I didnt like how ford cummins or destroked wanted me to hack up the C6s bellhousing for the flywheel and starter. I have too much info of what I did. Ill get a thread up as soon as I can get a chance and get the pics loaded into my computer...I just have to fine tune the injection pump. I gotta say, The truck rips done the road with my 40" hawgs pretty dam good compared to my tired 351m. Definitely worth the work involved. And Thanks to American Thunder for this thread, It helped me a lot for visual reference going back to this to see what I was in for.

You're welcome, and thank YOU for the tips on how to use the stock 727 trans in the truck. When my C6 gets old and tired, I'm going to try your suggestion. I especially like the part about it being shorter overall than the C6 setup. Room is at a premium on these shorty trucks.

A Cummins Bronco "boost launch", from 2 different views:

Damn tires broke loose a bit.. But acceleration was still pretty decent.
