hello i have 2 complet trucks 2001 ram2500 5.9 24v cummins 4x4 auto and a 1985 w150 4x4 auto amd i want to put the cummins in the w150 has anyone done this what needs to be done please help if you can thanks

I'm not 100% but I think with the correct mounts the 24V will drop into the W150 using engine mounts from a 12V from the same time period as the W150.I'm not a die hard Cummins guy,so I could be wrong.Pretty much relying on memory from something I read.I'm sure some one will be along to point at me,call me a name,and correct me if I'm wrong.Heck,they might do it even if I'm right.

If it were me, I'd transplant the old sheet-metal over the younger frame. Seems like you'll have many fewer communication issues between the ECM, TCM and other places where the electrons wander about and confuse people. Whle you're under there, you might also delete the vacuum-control on your Central Axle Disengage doohickey, in favor of a manual actuator. Telleco makes one that I've been liking. (takes a little more attention, but, it actually WORKS)
