Hey PJ,
Looks like you have made some good progress.
The workshop looks to be very well equipped, I only saw one thing that was missing and would be considered a local law violation around here.......NO BEER FRIDGE

ha ha ,i had a beer fridge in the shed like 20 years ago,but all my pals would come by and clean it out, plus i spend WAY TOO much time in my shed as it is , if there was beer too , hell , i,d have to just sell the house and live in the shed......hey, wait a minute
got the hinge pieces welded up today , not much to look at but it,s a build diary, and i built these-so it,s in .

got some done-off to ireland to drink beer and ride aged vee twins-so more later-
hung the hinge pieces onto the chassis pintle,s-
finnished milling the slots in the engine mounting blocks-
turned the flats for the end of the tipper hinge pieces-
got the welding done on these too-
cut the PTO prop, and set the yoke up in my lathe - nice to see the trusted and familiar name of SPICER on these props-

hi bert, i will look into that-most likely be whatever is going cheap at the wreckers yard.
got back from riding old indians around ireland-
found some 50mm box section steel,4mm wall,i was suprised to see that the motor wanted to raise this much, gives me a flat and level drive drive flange on the trans, also looks to have solved the steering/panhard clearance issues,we,ll see later.i will have to buy some more box section steel to make the raiser blocks into a stronger cross member type mount.
shimmed the rear bed up on timber bearers, old wheels, beer barrels, anything.
got the frame under the bed-
fitted the hinges and measured and marked everything up-
hope to get time to weld it all up tomorrow, but the sun is blazing here and the beer beckons......

few shots of the next jobs im squaring up-
some detail of the transmission crossmember-it,s made for off road service so it,s tough and incorporates a shock absorber fixed to the underside of the trans,i will reuse this-
you can see where we plasma cut the crossmember to allow the trans to sit level-
i will fabricate a heavy .25 inch thick top section to weld back into the cut section-i am also considering another crossmember right behind this one,as this will be a heavily stressed area-
i will fit a heavy plate that bolts between the crossmember and the trans isolator-and the other [possible] new cross member-
you can see the clearance has improved at the front sump/axle/steering/panhard area
