12v Dakota Poject build log
This is my project more info later but I picked up a w250 with a junk body at 115k miles for 600$ and so far this is what ive done to it.
I dont have pics but the passenger side had been hit near the door.
I have bigger injectors in it and the vgt turbo and pstroke intercooler will go in later. I will be re gasketing and sealing the whole engine. the frame and axles have been all ground down and painted with chassis saver. The dakota had just one rus spot under the driver seat but ill be recoating the whole underbody too with chassis saver.

I acutally wasnt looking for it thats the funny part. I have had two powerstrokes a 94.5 and a 95 always liked cummins but thought they were either ugly or expensive. Never seen a decent 1st gen til i got online and looked. I had a 91 F150 2wd for sale for 500 was going to take 400 for it, while the guy was on the test drive his wife told be about this old diesel they have that they cant keep the batts charged in even after an alternator and starter. So the guy asked for "2" and my truck i said umm 200? Yeah 200 he said so we did it.
Here is some updates on the engine i did the gasket kit, kdp fix, loctited case bolts, and re seal oh and an isx red paint job that got ruined upon bleeding the lines. Jumped one tooth and leaving it at stock timing for now see what that does for my medium 5x12s.
My 22 dollar hoist which did the whole swap worked good for headgasket

8" stack is not mounted i am actually going to run it as a tip half recessed into a custom rear bumper like the '10 half ton rams duals are

Up next will be 37s already have some wheels although i like the black wagon wheels with the blue paint
