As far as mating it to an allison 1000. Fleece Performance make allison tranny stand alone kits and conversion kit for 1998-2006 6 cylinder cummins.

Hope this helps

The motor is already mated to the Allison transmission I will NOT need an adapter for that.

As for more pictures you can go to this link Picasa Web Albums - 06nthome - Drop Box

I also don't happen to have any videos of the truck though.

This next project though it will have more pictures and for sure videos.

I am really interested in doing that swap myself. Is that a 4/4, I wonder if it will fit in a 4/4. Also what kind of mileage do you get. That is one of the main reasons I am interested in a diesel conversion. And do you know what the weight of the 4bt is.
what Allison transmission is it mated to, and are there any kits to mate it to a ford transmission, because I am also interested in using a gear vendors, under?overdrive gear splitter and I dont think they make them for the Allison tranny.

Gear Vendors does custome work for most aplications. I am sure they can build one for you.

look to the right in the black area is some choices.
I am guessing this ISB came from an old delivery truck that had an Allison? am I wrong?

This combo came out a workhorse van. They only made this combo for a couple years though.

I am installing this combo into a 4X4 truck and the last one that is on my signature is a 4X4 truck also. The hardest part with this new project is going to be mating it up to the transfercase.

Should be an interesting swap. What did you do for fuel delivery for the 4bt?

On the 97 swap with the VE i just used the stock in tank pump. I just made a loop with the fuel system and then used the stock lift pump from the cummins motor to feed it to the injector pump.

On my 2004 isb swap I will just be buying an AirDog2 for a dodge and modify the in tank pick-up like you would on the dodge truck.

transmission

Thanks for all the info, how similar is the allison tranny that came with that 4bt, to the one from the Duramax. is it bigger, and would the duramax allison be a better choice for a f150 4bt conversion.

Depends. What allison came with the 4bt? How much power do you plan on making?

The Allison transmission that is behind the 4bt is a Allison 1000 the same that is behind the duramax with slightly different programming but the same none the less. The bell housing might be a different also i am not sure what bell housing the duramax has.

I plan on making at least 300hp to start but shooting for a final number of 400hp. With a common rail that should not be too hard just injectors a box or two and better turbo.
