Default Anyone using the Nissan 6cy TD out of a UD mediun duty truck?

I have a line on a 92 Nissan TD with allison with low miles for cheep, was wondering if anyone has any info good or bad on weather this would be a good choice for a conversion motor. I think it is a 6.9. Havent heard too much about this motor, but the price is right, would be cool in some old iron- its huge.

Does it have the japanese license reproduction Bosch inline injection pump( Can't remember Nippon Denso or Kikki ?)
If so, it is the engine used also in the Nissan Patrol.
A very cool, bad *** engine and built to run forever!
A friend of mine uses it with a straight exhaust in his Patrol and he beats the hell out of it. But he takes care about the fluids.
Take a picture and show it- I will tell you
The IP and turbo must be on the right side.
Should be a SD 33T engine, but as the name already shows it's only a 3.3L engine with around 100hp.

The ip is on thr left, turbo on right, it came uot of a UD 2600 truck. I think it is a 6.9. It is way bigger than a 6bt cummins

It should be the 456 (7.47L)Cui engine with 230hp@2500rpm and a 750rpm idle speed?
Thats a friggin' huge engine...
Have seen the smaller patrol engine in a Cherokee.

Yea, that sounds about right, its huge so a full sized or larger platform is what I am thinking. Maybe a 30's ,40's cabover or some frankenstine deal.

I use to work for UD as well very durable engine but it has been at least 15 years since I wrenched on one .But if memory serves they were very reliable as was most of their line up.
