That's great news, not bad fuel mileage for having the stock tires! Yea I'm close to getting it moving, but a ways from using it as my dd. I have some interior work to do before I license and insure it, cause if I don't it will never get done! As far as the t/c shifter linkage, I was able to use one of the stock jeep rods. I did have to re-work the lever on the t/c. I used the one from the jeep instead of the blazer because it was too short. I had to cut and angle it foreward to fit the case, works perfict. I posted a pic earler but it's not too good. I was looking at the vacuum lines, have you figured that out yet?

Do you mean the vacuum for the engine shutoff? I got that working good. I did not hook the vac lines to my T-case, my front diff does not have the locking solenoid so I figured there was no reason to hook it up. I do have a diagram for the Blazer vacuum routing if you need it.

Yea, the t/case vacume. I have the vac-disconect front dif, that would be great to see the diagram, thanks!

Here is a good thread on the vacuum routing. I will try and find my vac diagram and post it as well.

Thanks John!

Dunno if this helps or not, but although I have the vacuum disconnect on the axle, I don't plan on using the automatic vacuum control switch on the t-case. Some of the earlier models like the one I'm using with the "Selec-Trac" option have a separate vacuum switch to allow you to lock/unlock the front axle WITHOUT shifting the transfer case lever.

The beauty of the separate manual switch is that you can leave your t-case in 4L and shift to 2WD by operating the switch to vacuum disconnect at the axle - instead of having to shift to 2H at the t-case. That effectively gives you the option of being in 2L.

It also DRAMATICALLY simplifies the vacuum controls and reduces the number of points of failure in the system that can malfunction and mess up your axle lock-in / lock-out. It becomes a simple of matter of routing vaccum to the switch and from there to the axle. I happen to have a spare Selec-Trac switch if you're interested.

That's not a bad idea! I know that I use the low side of the t/case on my F150 without locking in the hubs all the time when backing in heavy trailers, saves the clutch. I also like the KISS factor as well! I may be interested in the switch, thanks!

No problem man. If you can't find one locally, give me a shout. I know ones old enough to have the switch are getting kind of hard to find at the pick-n-pulls around here...

I finally got back in the shop today, made a little progress! The welder broke so that killed some time getting it working again, I finished the exhaust system!! I used the salvaged Benz stuff and had enough to go up and over the rear axle. That stuff is not too bad either, fairly thick plus mandrel bends as well. Strait pipe with a 3inX16 strait through resonator, stainless tip.

NICE. I haven't made any real progress on mine in a week or two. Spending this entire 3-day weekend (and next weekend too) trying to get my off-road Jeep ready to take out on a wheeling and camping trip the 2nd weekend in June...
