Hey im puting a 4bt in an 84 dodge w150 and I was thanking about putting an automatic behind it but I want to explore the option of a nv4500 5 speed. If I went with the 5 speed would I need the hydrolic cluch set up or can I use a cable?

 

i would just go with the hydralic setup

 

you need to have a hydraulic unit. thats how theyre set up to work. why would you ever want to run a cable over hydraulic anyways?

 

Yea your right it would be best just to use the hydraulic unit. Will one from a later modle truck work? Like a 94 or 95? Thanks

 

94-97 dodges have the same hydraulic sets if i remember correctly. much more benefits to hydraulic over manual
