Well I know there are ups and downs but there really isnt too much that I can think of where alot of parts would be needed since I am going to use most of the diesel truck parts and frame with the Bronco body.

and around where I live smog aint a deal anyone goes through. My 351 has maybe a blown out cat left for exhaust and I have not had to go through smog for anything.

to be honest I have not heard of anyone around here that has had to do anything with smog.

ya sure they may pass, but having a diesel under the hood is a completely different story.

so are you pretty much just planning on keeping a complete 6.4 truck all original and putting only the bronco body on it? because thatd be alot easier

yea I would have to build custom bumpers but the all original 6.4 truck is what I was thinkin just shortening the frame to fit the Bronco body.

just make sure you have a post style lift when you do it so you can pick the body up and set it down without ten people. it will make your life a million times easier.

oh yea I know. Me, my dad and a couple other guys had enough trouble gettin the bed and cab off of his old truck that he repainted. It was like a 80 F-150 and guess who the lucky one who got to take all the rusty bolts out of the bed from underneath. Rust in the eyes and nose sucks. Go ahead ask me how I know.

Ha so yea I know I want a lift but a few friends always works too

it would probably take you 10 people to lift up a bronco cab and move it. but the reason as to why a lift is so nice is because your probabably going to have some firewall clearance or other fitment issues or bosy mounts your going to need to change, so being able to go up down up down time and time again it key. your buddies probably wont want to be lifting up and down and holding it up while your trimming something. well that is, unless a bunch of beer is involved

It would probably be cheaper and easier to buy a low mileage used truck to start with. Pull the body, shorten the frame, and make the bronco body fit. It can be done, but boy is this kind of project gonna be expensive no matter how you do it.

yea I was gonna try and find a wrecked or salvage title truck and make the bronco fit

and yea moving the body up and down with the lift would make it alot easier and I dont think there would be enough beer in the county to get that many people to help me ha
