I have done at least a dozen Cummins/400 swaps. The 400 is strong out of the box and aftermarket support for it is huge. The down side is the lack of over-drive. You can fix that with a gear vendors, but that can be cost prohibitive. By the way, I make motor mounts for that as well.

Thinking about a Duramax

How big of a deal would it be to pull my 8.1L gas and find a Duramax with 6 speed allison and swap it out in my 2500HD? I have 260K on a gas engine and I dont think it will last forever.

Transmission conversion

I have a 2005 GMC sierra 2500 HD 2 wheel drive. It’s a four-speed automatic transmission I’m wondering do they make a five or six speed automatic transmission that would bolt up to that motor
