Sits pretty low
Attachment 50729 Tomorrow I'm planning to start mounting the Dodge radiator and intercooler and adapt the front of the frame to hold it. By having the engine a few inches forward than normal, I'll have to do some trimming on the Ford core support and grill. Or I'll just build a tube core support and make it work :humm: Plans for the rest of the build is an NV5600, south bend con ofe clutch and flywheel, BW 13-56 t-case, FASS 95gph, 100-150hp injectors, Adrenaline w/pulse control which will save me on having a bunch of gauges, putting brand new Dodge hydraulics in for the slave, eventually putting twins in whether it be on my own or in a kit, o-ringing the head, head studs, blending the dodge gauge cluster into my Fords dash, reusing my 4'' exhaust, new white paint with pearl, new glass all around, and installing my 2nd gen Dodge seats too. Any comments, advice, feedback is gladly WANTED/needed. Tyler |

Plan is to run a Dodge gauge cluster instead. Great fab skills but I have one question. Why didn't you isolate your new support from the frame? I would think that would cause problems with fender alignment, or at least nasty vibrations in the front clip:humm:

Sweet!

Interesting, makes sense why you wouldn't worry about it since you've done it before.
|
coming along really well. i have to give it to you bud, you've got some skills. i've been following your truggy build on pirate.:rocking:
|
that is awsome :rocking:

any update?
|
wow, awesome:jump:
Whats that other project you got going in the driveway? with the brown tubing? By chance did you build a rat rod with a cummins in it also? that area looks familiar. |
wow u did an amazing job man!!! :tu:
|
Nice rig! :tu:
Just curious though; why did you go with the dodge radiator and intercooler? And why swap to a Dodge instrument panel? I kept the big a$$ Ford radiator in mine and made custom coolant piping and it keeps the Cummins really cool...the fans hardly ever kick on going down the highway. |

Plus the early 90 Ford gauges are mostly dummy lights and are ugly to boot. |
Dude this is an awesome project. Have you went any farther with the project yet? I would love to see a price break down if you dont mind.
Again awesome project. |
Looks awesome! Keep us posted. :tu:

What are you going to do with the old 445 IDI?

Again awesome project. Price break down is slightly skewed because I got such kickazz deals... 2001 24v 100k miles, turbo, piping, rad, I/C, wiring, computers, mounts, hydroboost (sans starter) $1650.00 2001+ NV5600(25k miles) & BW 4401 t-case, SBC Con OFE setup $3000 shipped Probably about $200 in metal when I'm finished (minus metal for traction links) $45 under dash fuse block, dash wiring harness, and tranny harness (reverse lights) $40 Dodge Ram gauge cluster Airdog, draw straws, and SBC slave I cant comment on because I got special deals from Vendors here on the forum. Still need to regear the rear axle, build new driveshafts, build link arms, short shifter, and put my 2nd gen Dodge Ram seats in it. ---AutoMerged DoublePost---

just as for the same as my project you cant really put a price tag on it. little things add up. things such as:
welding wire, welder gas, electrical connectors, fluids, nuts and bolts, metal here and there, little components that break or wear out, etc etc etc. the list goes on. i thought i could do my swap for about 4000 since i payed 1500 for a complete truck. it ended up costin me over 10 grand because of stupid crap. you can never set a budget on a conversion project |
this dude knows his chit great job :tu:
|
sweet deal was the cummins radiator and intercooler unable to fit in there without making them radiator mounts?

thanks for the price break down. Seems like you dont have as much as alot of people have wrapped up in there conversions. I plan on having alot in mine when I get the starting funds for it.
