Blocks
I used 1" square tubing to make the blocks to weld to the torque converter. Tonight I welded 8mm nuts in them and drilled the holes. Tomorrow I will take them to work and weigh match them. Then when I get the new flexplate, I can mock everything up and weld the blocks to the converter. Hopefully she holds this time!!! I will take pics of the assembly when I get a little closer.

Hey John, how did that 904 trans perform behind the benz before the flex plate went ? I found a deal on a clean 85 with that trans. May go with that instead of the later with the aw4. Is yours a lock-up conv? Their seems to be some confusion on the net weather it is or not. I got the motor pulled from the benz yesterday, hoping to part it out more before the hulk goes to the crusher. I have to get rid of that before I can bring home the jeep,(got to keep the wife and neighbors happy).I,ll be watching closely on your set-up, mine will be close to yours. Good luck!

Benzer1,
I am nearing completion of an om617 swap in a 93 cherokee... 4x4 labs conversion, Advanced adapters, ax-15 tranny... anyway i'm trying to play around with how/where to mount the engine to clear suspension/steering components. I would like to see some pictures of your custom pitman arm drop. I'm afraid that no amount of suspension lift is going to solve the interference with the track bar. But I have been told that the greatest drop pitman arm available has a 4" drop compared to stock. I will try to post some pictures of my progress so far.
Also, how did you run your exhaust? I am at a loss for ideas on exhaust routing because the 4x4 labs adapter is huge and uses a unique starter which gives me minimal clearance between engine/bellhousing and upper passenger control arm...
Thanks in advance
