Default Oil Cooler

Hi Folks,
I installed the aftermarket oil cooler tonight, no leaks. I bought adapter fittings from Mcmaster-Carr to adapt from the 18mm X 1.5 thread that was for the original oil cooler to the 3/4-16 JIC thread that is on the new oil cooler. The adapters worked great. The new oil cooler is not as long, but is wider. So I mounted it in front of the radiator behind the grill. I used plastic wire ties to fasten it to the radiator. I will take a couple pics of it tomorrow. I need to shave a little plastic off the backside of the grill to clear one of the braided hoses, but you won't be able to tell once the grill is on.

Default Jeep

Hello All,
Saturday I purchased a 2005 Jeep Liberty CRD. I couldn't help myself. I am amazed at how smooth and quiet the little Italian diesel is. It's turbocharged and intercooled, and it rides like a car.

The down side of all this is that the Om617 Wagoneer and my 1987 300 SDL have to go. I don't know if anyone is interested in either car, but I thought I would ask before I list them for sale. Let me know if you want info/pics....

Thanks again to all who helped me with the Jeep engine swap, it was a blast!!!!

Nice find! What kind of fuel mileage do those rigs get?

Default Liberty CRD

The window sticker says 21 city, 26 highway.
There are folks on the net claiming 30 + on the
highway at 60-65. It runs really smooth, five speed
auto trans.......

Illinois is a LONG ways from WA, but just for giggles, what do you want for the Jeep?

My neighbor may buy it, he is interested, but you never know.......

I would like to get $2000 for it. That's less than I have in it, but being
how old it is, I think that is a fair price.

$2k sounds pretty reasonable for a nearly complete conversion - as long as it isn't a rust bucket. I'll have more than that in mine by the time its done...

John
Do you have any pictures of the A904 adapter?

Default Adapter Plate

There are a few pics of it in my thread. It failed, so I bought the adapter plate for a 700R4. The 904 adapter probably would have worked if it was thicker. It was only 1/4" aluminum.
