i have an 06 chevy silverado 1500 hd(basiclly a 3/4 ton) automatic 4x4 and and i want to drop in a 5.9 24 valve and a 6 speed trany in it. i was just woundering what it would take for me to do this. if any one has some good advice for me it would be much abliged. thanks for all the help.

 

its been done, dont know if the 1/2 ton front suspension would hold up the weight though...anything is possible with money

 

well it has the 3/4 ton front suspension

 

does it have the full sized *** end? not sure what kinda torque the 1/2 ton will hold

 

1500HD is basicly a lightduty 3/4. If has the same front suspension as the 2500 and 3500 but has the 9.5" light duty rear with 33 spline axles. Depending on what he wants to do with the performance that rear will probably not hold out in the long run

 

well i just want to use it to two and go play in the mud every once in awhile but it dose have the 14 bolt not sure on the shafts or much else.
