95 Dodge 2500 360 To Cummins Swap

Default 94 gas to diesel swap?

ive got a cherry 94 single cab 2500 with a new automatic(16miles)the computer was rebuilt and still dont run ,another bad computer ?,i also have a 92 dodge 2wd 5spd cummins and want to put it in the 94 ,besides the converter ,valve body up grade ,clutchpaks ,what do i need to get the gauges to work ,need a 94 diesel harness? etc .

If my memory serves me correctly, the 47RE transmission doesn't have electronics...which would make it a good candidate for an auto in a swap. One less thing to have to worry about compatibility, and it can be built to the same specs as a 48.

i wouldnt bother with the getrag cause its not as good as a NV4500, not saying its a bad tranny, it just survives better at stock levels......

47RE is electronic.....E is for electronic, 47RH is Hydraulic.....H for hydraulic, they switched around the 96 model year......early models had H's, late models had E's.......

You're right.. my bad. I meant to type RH.. Right idea.. wrong letters. I reread an article on swapping overdrive autos tonight and remembered this post. Thanks for correcting me.
