4bt FRANKENJAEEP
I started this project January 2008, and like most projects it took on a life of it's own.

This is one of the last pictures of my 05 Duramax, had a fire due to wiring overheating and the insurance company wrote it off.

In the begining

Fitting the 9 inch and the dana 44 with full size bronco front suspension

Rolling chassis with mock up tranny, no drive shafts yet.

Finished frame with frame mounts for engine welded in. Used stock Ford hydraulic motor mounts softens the 4BT's shake a little

Engine and tranny mounted for the last time.

Transfer case and custom shafts in.

Body back on

OOPS - I miscaculated the height of the motor mounts

Nothing a cutting wheel won't fix
Things are getting busy in the shop, so it's time to take it home. Most of the big stuff is done.

Heading HOME new to me 07 duramax

So the Jeep is home and we're waiting for parts.

First piece was the torque convertor adaptor, changing from a turbo 400 to a 700R4 the bolt pattern on the convertor is different. This piece was machined locally, it's beautiful.

The next piece to show up was the charge air cooler and ducting.

Had to modify the rad support to fit the coolers infront of the rad.

The stack is in, more mods are required.

Add a TAURUS fan and call it done.

Charge air ducting

Lots or room at the firewall, I wanted to keep the rear drive shaft as long as possible

Thanks Bobcat, it's been fun, got some work to do on the rear pinion angle before I take it out for some real wheeling. Just finished tuning up the VE pump so now I'm looking for some performance injectors
