There is an interesting story behind that car.

First off, it's not even a Buick Regal cloned into a GNX--it is actually an Olds Cutlass with substantial body modifications to resemble a Buick.

The owner chose the Cutlass as the particular car he used was originally a 5.7 diesel. Makes for an easy conversion for both him and the DMV.

IIRC He hasn't gone back since he turned it up, but stock it did 8.5 in the 1/8th.
