Default Need to set things straight

Alright well i have a general question and long story short im looking into doing an engine swap into an old chevy and found a 2001 Cummins with 82,xxx on it and well want to know what is the best dodge transmission to put behind it? is it the manual or the automatic? the NV4500 or the NV5600 or whichever auto is better.

and on a side note: engine is complete except for the wiring harness. does anybody have a clue as to where i can get one from? i sent an email to cummins hopefully will get a reply soon as to what i can do but i had heard that some model years had interchangeable harnesses is this true? thanks in advance

i honestly don't care. i've driven both auots and manuals. i plan to run it stock for awhile until i can rebuild my bank account after the swap. But which one is cheaper to build up is it just like basically put in a new stronger clutch on the manuals and your set
