5.9 cummins ticking
Hi everyone'
Its been awhile so here it is 03 5.9 installed Industrial Injection compound turbo kit.truck was fine before install also added BD high flow exhaust manifold. motor has 100hp injectors installed 3 months prior ran great. after install of kit at start up had loud ticking sound Then it went away can barley here under no load under load between 1300 & 2200 very distinct take it out of gear cant here it? no exhaust leak, valves ok thinking injector but fine before kit? Could use some ideas Thank you.

Piece of debris through the intake during the swap could have come through on start up got lodged and smashed into the top of the piston, would cause the ticking until it flattened out, I know you would think major failure but when I welded up my intercooler pieces a few pieces went through and ended up like this, truck still ran great but I found it the next time I had the head off.
