Default ZF6 Speed questions for conversion

Not sure if I am in the right area or not but here goes.

For the longest time I've wanted to take my truck 99 Ford 4x4 7.3L Diesel with the 4r100 auto and convert it over to an old school 12Valve cummins with a ZF6 Speed manual tranny.

At the moment I'm looking for a ZF6 Speed and am having troubles finding one behind a diesel that I can use for the conversion.

I have however found a ZF6 behind a 2000 Ford 4X4 with the V10 Gasser.

My question is this, Is the transsmision the same as behind the diesel? Gear ratios? quality and what not?

Help is highly needed thank you!

I believe a ZF6 is a ZF6. The biggest are of your equation is the engine adapter. I know destroked has them. But I think once you get the trans and supporting equipment you will be good to go.

I think you're right. I haven't found anything that says otherwise. Thank you!
