Default Perkins T6-3544m (marine)

I have an opportunity here to buy a set of (one non-running) Perkins T6-3544 Marine engines, but don't know too much about them. These are 160 horse so I'm assuming they're older engines (not confirmed yet), and the vehicle choice to put them in would be between an early 60's International pickup, or and early 60's International Travelall.

Mostly, I'm looking for information from a credible source that know what they are talking about. I just want to know about the engine in general and if it'd make a good auto conversion (since Cummins engines are so expensive).

--I do know that they rotate clockwise (a must for my purposes), and weigh just over 1200 lbs (comparable to the Cummins 5.9 so that's okay), and are a straight 6 engine.

Someone who knows what you're talking about, what do you think? How would it compare to a 5.9?

They used a similar engine in our Hesston tractors for a while, they were pretty reliable.

Not sure how it will perform in an automotive app but it shouldn't be too different from a Cummins, just lower hp from less aftermarket support.

If I remember correctly, in an automotive app make sure it has a vibration damper on the front of the crank or it will fail.
