FTE - why the Nissan tranny? Im wanting to do an explorer, and curious why you didn't go Ford manual.

I wanted 6 speeds and this trans has really great ratios and it's heavy duty. Plus the shifter is in the correct position unlike some of the car 6 speeds that puts the shifter too far back. I feel that my Ranger is almost perfect, I just think one more gear would solve that. We shall see!

Sorry for the delay, yellow68gto, I assume there's an adapter for the flywheel and for the bellhousing? Also I believe the flywheel I plan on using comes with bolt on 50/28 weights so I could just leave them off. I was planning on machining them myself on the old Bridgeport, but it would be so much easier if they were already available. What do you want for the adapter?

Yes flywheel and bell housing. I Would still suggest gettingvtge flywheel checked for neutral balance
