Tps, used 5v reference from pcm, tv cable, output speed sensor, neutral drive reverse position switch, i think your brake cable is brown, the wire for the brake switch in my 96 tcu is white and pink, i just wired it to ground, the wiring diagram for your cherokee is confusing but in your case check if the brake signal is working

light blue-yellow is supposed to be the brake- torque converter wire

Hey thanks for the info! That diagram should help. Maybe I just need to completely separate the TCU from the ECU. I'm assuming yours is not linked to the Cherokee's ECU? Are you using it at all for gauges etc?

I am using the 5v reference for the tps and its ground from the pcm, the tcm i have doesn't have the reference voltage, yes im using the computer for the gauges, i think i have a bad crank sensor cause i have no signal or rpm detected by the pcm and the tach doesn work

Ok, thanks. I'm getting a false tach reading, it's @ 500rpm fast so I think that may be giving my tcu something it doesn't like and keeping it from lock-up. I think I need to separate any feedback between the two.

the tps needs on idle between .40 volts and.70 volts, if notthe tcu will think it has a bad tps and it will ignore it, shifting in specific speeds rather than calculating it, no lockup also
