Ok guys Im stumped on this. What I have is a 1996 ford f350 that had a 460 now has a 94 12 valve. I'm using a dodge alternator with a napa two wire regulator but I'm having a hard time figuring out where to get the power wire. I hook it up to a power wire it charges but when you rev it up it goes from 14.5 volts to 16 or 17 volts. what wire do I use to make it work right.
