The Kubota Swap 'Hijack Me' Topic
I don't think you could go wrong for 350. Like it was said in a earlier post. A rebuild kit is about 500. So if everything is good with machine work you could be close to reefer take out but rebuilt.
re: IDI/DI kits, I would expect the blocks to be pretty close, and the difference is in the heads. Most of the kit stuff is for the lower end only?
Question: how much weight would you guys estimate the turbo / intercoolers you are using weigh?

The head, injectors, injector pump, and pistons are different. The block, crank, rods, bearings, and everything else is the same.

any guesses on the turbo / ic weights? I've got a 85 Thunderbird conversion candidate and trying to guesstimate whether I need to look at front springs (V6 v. V2203DI + turbo but no power steering or brakes or any of the old emissions junk hanging in the front).

Two hr meters? Well the one in the panel would most likely be the one for the engine, maybe it was replaced and the panel meter for the new engine, and the other for the compressor? Kubotaman just did a rebuild, so he would know the $ for the kit.
