Default Kubota V2203DI into a 91 Mazda B-2200 EXT Am I Crazy?

I am new here and have been reading all I can on the Kubota V2203DI. As my old factory 4 banger is getting worn out. But the truck itself is in good shape. So I was thinking about something that would give me far better MPG and be reliable and could run up to around 75 MPH.

Any thoughts on this? And I did do a search but could not find where to purchase a Kubota V2203DI anywhere close to San Antonio,TEXAS.

Thanks Gang.

Dallas would be about 600 MI or so round trip. It would depend on what the Engine was and cost.

I did hope for some feed back for the use of a Kubota for the Mazda.

I am just finishing up a Benz jeep. I am planning a Kubota in a jeep or a ranger next. The jeep that I converted was kind of a POS body to start, so I am looking for a newer chassis to start with next time.
There are quite a few successful Kubota swaps in Rangers and S-10's running around. The Mazda is a re-badged Ranger isn't it?
There is a ebay guy selling engines in Dallas. Not sure if he is negotiable. I am having my engine shipped form CA to TX for $180. Not sure what sort of budget you have, but for me that shipping was worth it for me not to have to drive to Dallas. When I figured I did not have to buy an engine locally, that opened up the search a lot.
just keep looking engines are out there. Some of the guys on here have extra engines maybe they will chime in.

Mazda and Ranger were the same 94 and newer. But my 91 is all Mazda .

Maybe I should sell the Mazda and look for a Ranger?

It should fit in your Mazda just fine, maybe even easier than the Ranger. You will love it, excellent mpg, plenty of power.
