Well got the intercooler fitted in what a pain. Also I used an early 80s ford gas pedal and cut the square hole in the fire wall for the dodge cable. And I got the transfer case shifter linkage working all came out in the same location. Then the hardest part was getting the shifter to work of the column but I believe is in good working order now

Did you use the factory wiring to hook up the alternator or did you just run your own wires to the regulator?

No. If you look up american thunders name. He also has a thread on here of what he did with his 78 fummins. He has a wiring diagram that I followed to wire up the ford regulator to the cummins alternator. Go here. https://www.dieselbombers.com/diesel-engine-conversions/59429-1978-bronco-1991-cummins-6bt.html?styleid=1. Go to the 8th post and there is the diagram. I suggest to read his whole thread. Its what got me started on mine in the beginning. Except the things that I went a different route on.

I seen that I just didn't know why you couldn't tie it into the factory harness

Did you end up needing a vacuum can to keep power brakes working good or did it work fine.

No can. I just hooked up my vacuum lines to the hose from the vacuum pump. I haven't had and issues. The only thing I had was the 1 vacuum pump head was against my steering box. So i just dented the head some for clearance. I think if the pump goes bad im just going to go with the 91.5 and up years pump since it is designed differently and slimmer.

Your heater controls run off the vacuum to change where the air comes out. Otherwise itll be stuck on defrost.
