Default new swapper experianced modder

Hello, I am the proud owner of a 94 Ram 2500 V10. though i love the big engines, it has been my dream to own a turbo cummins diesel. I am at the mercy of guru swappers. Can i take my 94 ram and turn it into a diesel, the new motor has some hinks but ill fix them, but before i even buy t, the motor is from a 99 ram with a cummings turbo diesel. will that fit in my 94? both rigs are automatic.

what do i take from the other rig? everything? wires too? do i need to take the fuel lines? do i just take everything and swap it out? mighty swappers, grant me your wisdom! ( please?)

The 99 ram is a 24 valve and will be more difficult to swap in. Also you need a diesel trans due to governor speed shift points. I would look for a 12 valve or maybe even p-7100 pump the 24 valve and do away with wiring on the vp-44 off the 24 valve.

it has been a long time since i got to update you guys. Due to problems with the irs the Conversion did not happen with that particular truck. I however started thinking, Could i drop the 24V cummings into my 1990 chevy suburban?

let me know! ill post pictures of the suburban so you can see what i am workin with.

that you can do, but as stated before it would probably be easier to find a 12valve to swap in or p-pump the 24valve due to all the wiring needed for the 24valve electrinics to work.. the 24valve is an electronic controlled injected pump vp44 the 12valve is all mechanical.. A lot easier in my mind to do the 12valve but if you p-pump the 24valve it wouldnt be to bad just a couple extra thousand $$$$ good luck let us know what happens

yeah, feels good to have the mental list of what to get all layed out, now to put into action. I am not to familiar with swapping engines in trucs, more so from gasoline to Diesel. i can pull an engine and rebuild the **** out of it, but i would be lying to say i am not at all nervous about the whole project.
