Default 1500 Chevy Duramax??
is it possible to put a duramax in to a half ton frame

Oh yeah, not that hard either, there are a number of halfy dmaxs runnin around.

Not without hefty suspension mods. Also, stand by to be having the frame straightened at a later date also.

Its an easy swap but the 1500 frame cant handle the torque. Needs to be the 1500HD chassis.

Or box in the frame.
