Tired of the 6.0
I'm sick of the 6.0 issues. Does anyone know what all is needed to do a conversion to either a cummins or 7.3 prefer a all in cab job my truck only has 100,000 miles on it and injectors just went again and just replaced turbo and a bunch of other stuff. I love the look of my truck hate the 6.0

Good luck with that. A couple injectors and a turbo? For less than $1k you're willing to try and swap something else in? Yikes. If you're going the cummins route, I would get the trans with it too. I don't know why you would go the 7.3 route, that's a big step backwards and you're nuts if you think they don't have issues either.

Thanks did you have to send out your wiring to get done? And I'd rather the 5.9 6.7 and the 7.3 over the 6.0 any day I drive and have owned all of those all of them better then the current 6.0 that I have, I spend about 4-5 hours a day driving my truck so I want it to be the best it can be. And I'd also rather have the ford trans over the 48re just because the dodge trannies are brutal when powers added. And also did you just buy all the parts or did you have a dodge parts truck?

Destroked will do the harness if you send both the dodge and ford harness. They also have adapter plates to mate up the ford trans to the cummins. There are other places that sell the adapter plates but destroked one require no grinding of the bell housing. keep us informed on your project as I am getting my pile of parts together to do this to a 7.3 superduty.

I have a lot of info mine was a 99 but most will work pm me and i will send it
if you want an auto do either a 47rh or one of the ford trannies stay away from 47re you will need and onboard computer
I personally went with the nv4500 5 speed the transfer cases are almost identical you can use your ford one
