Default New Guy.... Needs Advice...12v into 1984 1 ton.

Hey guys new to this site.. new to diesel engines and not new to swaps... i usually am tinkering with corvettes. so after months of lurking here is my first post... what i have is a 1984 1 ton that i have owned for the better part of 11 years, it has 34k thousand original miles on it. the 6.2l was changed befor i took ownership of it, to a 400cu small block. the engine was a little weak so i changed to a 454 with low miles from a suburban. i was going through the big block phase of my life at the time the corvette was undergoing a 496 swap... needless to say the 454 made decent power but gpm's and trq were lacking... so i decided to go with a 1st gen intercooled cummins swap. i drove about 100 mi from home and picked up a 160k 1992 12v from a dodge 1 ton 2wd. for 1600 bucks with all the turbo pipeing intercooler and automatic trans for the swap... incuding A/C my first question is now that i have the engine i want to hear it run.. from what i gather i need power to the starter along with the ground and 12volts to the little wire on the ve pump??? fuel to the supply and return and it should start.... i hope.

I think the Answer is yes. Do you know how to bleed air out of the fuel system if there is any?
