DPF Problems

my truck 2008 cummins 101,000 miles out of warranty. yesterday went into DPF full. Took to dealership and said it would not regen so I needed a new one cost 2700. I said no drove home ordered a delete kit H&S XRT PRO 4". Question is if my truck goes into shutdown mode, when I install new kit when it gets here and install program will this clear the shutdown on my truck? Please advise. Thanks for any help.
