Changed oil last week and removed about13 quarts. Thought my son had over serviced so put in 10. Drove about 75 miles and checked oil and again well above full and running a bit rough at idle, headed for the house and low oil press warning came on at idle, short drive to the house and drained the oil and again LOTS came out. Looking for some guidance here, still has original injectors at 124k. No noticeable smoke.

 

sounds like an leaky fuel injector...get that checked asap!!!!

 

How do I check rail press, no shops open this weekend and need to start work on this, as it is my primary vehicle. I am not showing any codes from my OBD, but the unit shows fuel system monitors as NA??


Would like to understand where to connect gauges on common rail. I think one of the local parts houses has the proper guages, as I understand it it needs to have range above 20000psi just want to be sure of the fittings and connections.
